We are celebrating Mahalaya this year on October 5th. We will kick off the day with a delicious breakfast served in boxes at 9AM, allowing everyone to gather and connect.

This year our Durga Puja will be performed in a private home and all participation will be virtual (Zoom link for joining in will be emailed to each member). If you would like to offer pushpanjali to Ma Durga, please arrange for flowers at your home and join the priest on Zoom for the mantras.

Lower Mainland Bengali Cultural Society’s 2014 Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, the 26th of April from 1:30pm to 5:30pm. The meeting will take place in the Sears Community Meeting Room at Metrotown, Metropolis Burnaby.

Last year marked the 150th birthday of poet, musician, and playwright Dwijendralal Ray. Vancouver Bangla Vidyalaya would like to invite you to a celebration of this illustrious Bengali figure.

It’s the time of the year again. “Pujo” is an event all bengalis look forward to. This year we are celebrating Durga puja on October 19 – 21 at Arya Samaj Hall, Burnaby. We welcome you all to join us with your family and friends for fun filled couple of days.

It’s not always sunny in Vancouver so we like to take advantage of the sun whenever we can.  The summer picnic lets all of the members and guests relax at one of the many city parks in metropolitan vancouver.
